Create Vision

Because You Become What You Believe

How to create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life.

It's ok to take a break from the world, sometimes you just need it. It’s been the start of a new year. For some reason, January 1st always brings with it a special feeling of motivation and desire to bring forth our best selves. Rather than rushing into new resolutions and subscriptions that promise to change our lives, maybe a more sustainable approach would be to channel that new energy into the whole year, not just one month. Taking time to notice which values are inherent in the goals we set for ourselves creates the Vision for our future.

Think about the kind of person you want to become and how you can get closer to becoming this person by the end of the year. How do you live? How do you behave around others? What does your lifestyle look like? How do you view yourself? These are important questions to consider when thinking about your life and how you want to live.

Vision is the ability to bring the future into the mind's eye and see it clearly. It is useful because it allows us to identify our values and desires. It is powerful because it turns intentions into actionable behaviours. Vision is necessary because it is a compass, telling us where to go when facing difficulty or change.

We all face both difficult times and happy times in our lives. Behind every want is a value, a picture of a future self in the mind’s eye. When we can clearly see this future, we’re better able to set goals in line with our values. In times of stress, change or distraction, our vision serves as our guiding compass.

Sometimes, when life is busy, it helps to take a break from all the things that are not necessary to create the grandest vision possible for your life because after all - you become what you believe! So, how are you doing with your New Year resolutions? As we’re approaching the end of January, are you still going strong because you’ve already built a strong vision, or have you decided that maybe 1st of February or next Monday is the best time to start?

Elizabeth Gilbert said that “Happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the worlds looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly.” Einstein said that “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”

So, what are you going to do? What new approach will you take? How will you relentlessly try to become the best version of yourself, live authentically and find joy and fulfilment right here and right now?

Once upon a time life was lived unfiltered, unedited, and unafraid and my wish is for you to get back to the basics of what sets your heart on fire and makes your soul fly. Whether your focus this year is self-care, professional life, romantic life, relationships with friends, the adventure of life – take a leap of faith and dare to dream big! Because when you reach for the moon, you may land among the stars, and that’s a fine place to be!

How to create the greatest vision possible for your life? Start by asking yourself these questions:

·      What is the most ambitious goal I can set for myself this year?

·      What unresolved conflicts do I need to address to make my vision real?

·      What are three steps I must complete to begin working towards my vision?

Happy New Year! Let’s make 2022 amazing!!
